About
How the math works
- Lead = target speed × bullet flight time (distance ÷ muzzle velocity). Only sideways movement needs lead.
- Drop: the game's Drop Range is where the bullet has fallen 20 cm. We draw a curve through that point. Far past it, real drop may be a bit more.
- The red marker is for a headshot. It is placed using the hunter's size in that real frame (a hunter is about 1.8 m tall), so the offset looks the way it would in game. Distances in the examples are estimated from the hunter's height on screen at the default 80° field of view, so treat them as ±25 %.
- Speeds: sprint 4.5 m/s (measured by players); walk 2.5 and crouch 1.3 are estimates.
- Damage: stat-card damage at 10 m, then a per-metre fade (compact 1.43 %, medium 1 %, long 0.6 %) from community tests. Update 2.0 made bullets keep more damage, so far-range numbers are a lower bound. Head shots kill at any range.
- Ping: Hunt favours the shooter, so no extra lead for latency.
- Every week the numbers are re-read from the wiki and cross-checked automatically.
